Normod IIFF (Istanbul Furniture Fair) Wooden Stand Design and Implementation

The primary purpose of a stand at furniture fairs is not just to showcase products; it's to make visitors feel the "warmth and atmosphere of home" within that furniture. Our wooden exhibition stand project for Normod, Türkiye's most innovative modular furniture brand, at IIFF (Istanbul International Furniture Fair), one of Europe's largest furniture gatherings, was realized with precisely this philosophy in mind.

As the BayZ Design architectural team, we broke away from the industrial and cold structure of the exhibition area and created a turnkey project that reflects Scandinavian minimalism, the warmth of wood, and the spirit of modern living spaces.

Normod Exhibition Stand Architectural Concept and Our Solutions

The furniture industry is an area where the texture, color, and comfort of the product are paramount. In our Normod project, we focused on the following architectural details to maximize the visitor experience (UX):

• Authentic "Home" Atmosphere (Experience Rooms): Spacious seating islands with wide walkways have been designed to create a genuine living room atmosphere, allowing visitors to test the comfort of the modular seating.

• Fabric and Material Display Walls: To allow for a stylish viewing of Normod's wide range of fabric swatches and modular leg options, specially illuminated (LED) product and sample display units have been designed.

• Atmospheric Ceiling and Lighting Architecture: Instead of the standard and tiring lighting of the fair, a relaxing concept was created using decorative pendant lights and warm-toned (daylight) LEDs, supported by wooden ceiling details.

• B2B Dealer Meeting Areas: To ensure that the intensive domestic and international wholesale (dealership) meetings during the fair can be conducted comfortably, open and semi-open meeting areas have been constructed in keeping with the brand's natural spirit.
